"Mah-Nah-Mah-Nah" by Lipstique -- Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Lipstique is a studio project from disco producer Jürgen S. Korduletsch -- who also gave us Claudia Barry, Ronnie Jones, Gaz, Disco Circus, Mick Rowley, Mascara and Araxis. The first album titled "At The Discotheque" (a cover of Chubby Checker's 1965 flip-side 45 track) -- arranged as a disco medley with a few new instrumental and vocal segments added. The album was a huge hit in clubs and still rings true to the disco period.

"Mah-Nah-Mah-Nah" is another cover of Piero Umiliani's 1968 composition which originally appeared in an Italian film titled, "Sweden: Heaven and Hell" -- it was later covered by Giorgio Moroder in 1968 and then recognized from a popular skit from The Muppets.

I have taken the television comedy series release of "The Best of Benny Hill" and combined the two, since the show occasionally used the musical piece in various skits. It defines the silly and crazy antics of this very-funny man!

The show was directed by John Robins

Mirage - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Kebekelektrik

Kebekelektrik is a studio concept group from disco producer, Pat Deserio (Bombers, Bob-A-Rela, Rational Youth) - he was originally a part of the disco band, Dogs of War along with Derek Kendrick and Jack August.

"Mirage" is from the only LP Kebekelektrik released in 1977 - assisting on the project is Gino Soccio. The track is a bouncy keyboard odyssey with a Eastern-feel. It has always been on the great instrumentals from the band - which seems to be the trend from the project - they are all classics.

The album was remixed by Mr. Tom Moulton

I have taken the LP version and ReStructured a new experience with a few new riffs and break beats to spice up the the rhythm. It is a pleasure to work on a track like this and it may seem to go on-and-on but wait until it's over. You may want more!

REISSUE: "From East To West" by Voyage - Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

The 1977 LP "Voyage" by Voyage marks a place in disco history that is hard to forget. It is a time where Euro-disco painted strong images and feelings for a dance floor waiting to be taken away to a fantasy world. The title track "From East To West" is a classic and leaves the imagination feeling unlimited - as well as the dance floor ready for more.

The project was produced by Roger Tokarz and features musicians Marc Chantereau, Pierre Alain Dahan and Slim Pezin as well as many backup ensembles from Cerrone and Munich disco recording sessions.

I have taken the 1956 adventure film, "Around The World In 80 Days" based on the Jules Verne's novel and placed scenes and images in this Disco Video Mix. The scenic quality works quite well and leaves little wonder on how this song by Voyage has become a classic piece for disco lovers all over the world.

The film was directed by Michael Anderson
